Office National des Forêts headquarters
This all-wood building, which embodies the values of the ONF, was designed as a living organism. Biomorphic, it adapts to time and use, transforming and evolving according to need, thanks to its wooden cells that can be added, subtracted or repaired. A modular project, economical in energy and materials, weaving a link between the city and nature.

The ONF Headquarters: La Forêt, designed by the firm Loci Anima, is an iconic building located in Maisons-Alfort, Val-de-Marne. Inaugurated in December 2022, it embodies the values of the National Forestry Office (ONF) regarding sustainability, modularity, and connection with nature.
A biomorphic wooden architecture
This entirely wooden building was designed as a living organism. Its biomorphic structure allows it to adapt over time and use, thanks to modular wooden cells that can be added, removed, or repaired as needed. This approach offers great flexibility and a low ecological footprint, while weaving a connection between the city and nature.

An immersive wood experience
Wood is omnipresent throughout the building, creating a warm and healthy atmosphere. Elements such as the robinia wood reception desk, oak paving stones on the floor, and the various wood species used in the structure illustrate ONF’s commitment to promoting local and sustainable wood.
This project reflects ONF’s dedication to promoting environmentally respectful architectural practices in harmony with nature.
